Ingredients

  • 1 tsp My Matcha Co. ceremonial-grade matcha

  • 3-4 fresh strawberries, hulled

  • 2 tsp maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (soy, almond, or dairy)

  • 1/2 cup ice (optional, for an iced latte)

  • 1/4 cup hot water (80°C, not boiling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry purée: Mash the strawberries with a fork or blend them until smooth. Mix in the maple syrup and set aside.
  2. Whisk the matcha: Sift 1 tsp of matcha into a bowl, add 1/4 cup hot water, and whisk using a chasen (bamboo whisk) in a zigzag motion until frothy
  3. Assemble the latte: In a glass, add the strawberry purée, followed by ice (if making an iced version). Pour in the milk, then gently top with the whisked matcha for a beautiful layered effect.
