Our matcha is sourced from a single origin farm in Uji, Kyoto - the birthplace of some of Japan’s finest tea. Growing certified organic tea requires a unique and carefully maintained environment, where the farm works in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem.
Certified organic under the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS), our matcha is produced without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilisers and is tested for heavy metals, ensuring a level of purity that goes beyond taste.
The tea plants are shade-grown, then carefully cultivated and stone-ground to preserve quality, flavour, and nutrient integrity.
Uji-grown leaves are known for their natural sweetness and depth. The region’s long-established growing methods and fertile terrain contribute to a rich aroma, smooth texture, and a balanced, mellow profile.
