What Makes Ceremonial Matcha Different?

Ceremonial matcha is crafted exclusively from the first flush - the very first, tender leaves of the season. These young leaves are shade-grown for several weeks, enhancing their natural sweetness, deep green colour, and concentration of antioxidants and amino acids. The result is a matcha that is smoother, sweeter, and richer in umami, delivering a vibrant, refined flavour that reflects the care and precision of its cultivation.

HOW TO PREPARE

1. Sift 1 teaspoon (about 2–3 g) of matcha into a bowl or cup

2. Add a splash of hot water (just enough to whisk)

3. Whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion using a bamboo whisk until smooth and a fine microfoam forms on the surface

4. Add your choice of natural sweetener (honey, maple etc)

5. Add your favourite warmed milk for a matcha latte or cold milk & ice for a refreshing iced matcha.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Matcha is highly sensitive to light, air, heat, and moisture. To preserve its delicate flavour and vibrant green colour, store sealed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Store in the fridge to preserve freshness. Use within 1-2 months of opening for optimal flavour.
