What is Matcha?

Matcha is simply Japanese green tea leaves finely ground into powdered form.

Instead of drinking only an extract, consuming matcha in its pure form provides a delicious and incredibly nutrient-dense drink rich in antioxidants, amino acids and chlorophyll. Unlike coffee, the caffeine in matcha provides sustained energy without the crash and promotes focus without the jitters due to a powerful amino acid called L-theanine. Essentially, matcha is a more potent form of green tea and a healthier alternative to coffee.

Prioritising your health is the biggest investment you can make to create your dream life.

Including matcha in your daily routine means you are making a conscious choice to prioritise wellness for your mind, body and spirit.

Energy

The L-theanine in matcha stimulates alpha wave production in the brain and is known to promote relaxation and increased focus. L-theanine also regulates the release of caffeine into the bloodstream providing a sustained energy boost.

Immunity & Vitality

Matcha is an extremely rich source of antioxidants, particularly EGCG, which enhances immune system function and combats free radicals responsible for inflammation, tissue damage, and aging.

Metabolism

Matcha contains significantly higher levels of EGCG than regular green tea and is known to have a thermogenic effect in the body. It also contains natural polyphenols, flavonoids, and other phytocompounds that can enhance metabolism.

My Matcha Co. Quality & Difference

Our core focus is matcha. Unlike other companies we do not sell any other types of tea, health products or matcha 'blends'. This allows us to concentrate solely on sourcing the finest quality pure matcha and bring it to Australia for you to enjoy.

My Matcha Co. is ALWAYS fresh. It is grown in small batches after which it is harvested and packaged in Japan - directly at the source. We order shipments based on demand via express air freight, this method ensures there is no wastage and our matcha retains optimum freshness.

Some Matcha contains the stems and veins, giving the finished tea a bitter flavor and diluting the nutritional qualities. Our Matcha contains only the young leaves and nothing else.
